G-Lehrs Welcome
G-Lehrs by MU NV is a Belgian company founded in 1993 and is exclusively active in the world of glass. Originally we produced complete annealing and decorating lehrs electrically and gas heated.
The last 15 years we focus on the lehr heating systems. Our burners can only be used in annealing lines. We realise with our gas burners, in all brands of lehrs, a much lower gas consumption, higher reliability, less maintenance – and in case of our electric heaters a doubling of the life time.
In 2008 we adapted our gas burners to be used in Pennekamp and Antonini lehrs. We replaced also in Bowman, Cnud, Horn and other brands and this with comparable results, gas – 25%, higher reliability, less maintenance.
Our burners are delivered in a configuration adapted to the lehr, 100% compatible with the existing situation, same mechanical fixing, same gas connection, same gas pressure, same electric connection, same supply voltage, same alarm and control signals coming from and going to the lehr panel. All this thanks to the high-tech safety / control box that each burner is equipped with.
Particularly interesting is that replacing burners is done during production, no production stop, the burners are replaced one by one.
In all realised cases we got very positive reactions regarding reliability and maintenance.
In all cases we gained in gas consumption, on average 25 % but higher gains up to 50 % are achieved regularly.
Replacing all burners is not necessary, replacing burners in the first 2 sections of a lehr results in general in a 2 years return on investment. For details of recent replacements see the cases in ‘Realisation’ of this website.
